Frequently Asked Questions
1. How many people do you train per session?
Typically 2-3 people at a time. The reason I use the semi-private personal training model VS. the outdated 1-on-1 personal training model is because it allows me to charge much less than other personal trainers. Plus, it’s just as effective, if not more.
2. How much do workouts cost?
If you sign up to a 12 month agreement it is $395 per month, 3 month agreement $545 per month. Click here for a full listing of options: Chicago Personal Training Programs.
I only take on new clients with 3 or 12 month agreements because training without a set schedule typically leads to straying away from your goals. Plus, I’m able to get a richer understanding of your body’s potential and limitations so I can create the best possible program.
3. Why do I need a personal trainer?
Most people find that this personal training program saves months, if not years of confusion. If you sign up, you can basically assume that in a few months you will have a body you can be proud of.
4. Isn’t cardio better for burning fat?
I’ll take a Pepsi Challenge any day of the week. Compare your cardiovascular training program to this training program and I guarantee I’ll help you lose at least twice as much fat AND build an overall functional body – all in the same amount of training time.
5. How long do the workouts last?
Workouts typically last 40-50 minutes.
6. How often will I meet with you?
Two personal training sessions per week, and one 1-on-1 fitness assessment per month. Plus you have email and text message support 24/7.
7. Do I need to do any other workouts on my own?
Yes, usually at home. “Homework” will only take 10-15 minutes per day and may include conditioning, mobility, flexibility, or bodyweight drills. They are quick and easy workouts, but they will boost your metabolism and drastically help your body overall.
8. Where is the gym located?
All personal training and fitness assessments take place at the Chicago Fitness Center of the Lakeview neighborhood in Chicago.
You can find all the necessary information here: Chicago Gym.
9. What kind of results should I expect?
When you come in and complete your fitness assessment I’ll let you know exactly what to expect. But on average, most men lose around 20 pounds of fat and gain 15 pounds of muscle in the first 12 weeks. Plus you’ll feel and move a heck of a lot better.
